Supporting Parents

  • ESCAPE training
    Staff from Wilton Provision and Hawick High School have participated in an ESCAPE training programme organised by the “Trust for the Study of Adolescents” and then went on to run groups for parents of teenage children in Hawick.
  • Family Support Project, Gordon Primary School
    Parenting support has been provided by Social Work Family Support Service and Earlston Public Health nursing team.
  • Parenting Support, Tweeddale
    An evening parenting support group has been established. The young parents’ group has been supported financially and support groups are co-ordinated through inter-agency meetings.
  • Support for Parents, Coldstream
    Multi agency approach to support adults/carers of Primary and pre-school children in their role as parents in the Coldstream area. This enables more children to get the best possible support for their learning and development at home.
  • Supporting Parents and Carers, Cheviot
    Two booklets have been produced in partnership with working groups from the Kelso and Jedburgh Locality Integration Teams. They will better inform parents and carers of the range of services that are available locally to support them and will explain the roles of the various professionals and organisations that are available.
