Galashiels

Galashiels Locality Integration Team covers the area of the Galashiels Academy catchment from the border with Midlothian at Falahill to Tweedbank and Caddonfoot in the south and includes the villages of Stow, Clovenfords, Heriot and Fountainhall. Galashiels itself is one of the largest towns in Scottish Borders and as such is a centre for employment and a wide range of social and leisure amenities.

The total population of the town is 16,574. There are around 3,691 young people and about 30% or 1,119 are under five years of age.
