Local Action Plans
Much work has gone into the preparation of Local Action Plans, looking at each locality in depth, assessing needs and existing funding and then developing an integrated vision and priorities list for each locality.
You can download the action plan for your locality, or for all the local areas, from our Resource Library.
| Local Action PlansThe Locality Integration Teams (LITs), formed at the end of 2004, have members drawn from: - Health
- Police
- Education
- Cultural Services
- Social Work
- Voluntary Agencies
- Community Learning
- Active Schools
- Family Support Services
- Churches
One of the main aims of the LITs was to "develop and implement local action plans relating to the key elements of Bright New Futures" and latterly to the key elements of the Integrated Children's Services Plan. Since the introduction of the LITs in the areas, a great deal of work has been undertaken to complete the plans which were agreed and ratified by the Children's Change Group in July 2005. The plans have been a shared development with input from all members of the LITs, as well as the wider community and stakeholders. They reflect the main priority needs and issues identified in relation to services to children and young people in the immediate localities. The implementation of the plans is well underway and sub-groups for each project have been convened both from within the LITs themselves and non LIT members from all the partner organisations.
